2026/4/1　Prof. Chihaya Adachi (our Plenary speaker) has become the PRESIDENT of The Japan Society of Applied Physics.
2026/3/29　The blue light-emitting diode (blue LED) invented by Prof. Isamu Akasaki and Prof. Hiroshi Amano(our Plenary speaker) has been designated an “IEEE Milestone” by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the world’s largest professional association in the field of electrical and electronic engineering.
2026/1/20 Prof. Yasufumi Fujiwara (Our invited speaker, Ritsumeikan Univ.) has won the Akasaki Prize (Compound Semiconductor Electronics Achievement Award from JSAP) for his development of the GaN:Eu3+, red LED with high wavelength stability <0.001nm/K.
2025/12/5　Prof. Chihaya Adachi (our Plenary speaker) has won the Leo Esaki Prize (NanoTechnology) for novel OLED development by double hetero structures.
2025/12/2　Prof. Susumu Noda (our Plenary speaker) of KUIAS has won the Rank Prize (Optoelectronics) for the Photonic Crystal Surface Emitting Laser!
